Lagos Muslim Community to Redevelop Great Nigeria Insurance Land After Fire Incident

The Lagos Muslim Community is set to reclaim and redevelop the Great Nigeria Insurance land in Lagos Island following a recent fire that gutted the building and affected eight individuals. The Muslim community expressed readiness to work with the Shitta Bei family to recover and redevelop the land, aiming to construct a 25-storey building to replace the damaged structure.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assessed the site and declared the need for massive demolition and rebuilding. The Shitta Bei family is concerned about the government taking possession of the land but is open to showcasing their capacity to redevelop it.
