NNPC Commissions Upgraded Wards at Igbobi Hospital

NNPC Limited has officially commissioned and handed over rehabilitated wards to the National Orthopedic Hospital in Igbobi, Lagos, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The project included the rehabilitation and upgrading of three wards with a total capacity of 100 beds.

Key improvements involved the installation of new beds, a central medical gas system, roof and ceiling replacements, electrical and mechanical system upgrades, and new vinyl flooring. Engr.

Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, emphasized that the company’s focus extends beyond profit to include significant social impact. Emmanuella Arukw, Managing Director of NNPC Foundation, highlighted the long-term benefits of the intervention, which aims to strengthen healthcare services in Nigeria.

Dr. Wakeel Lawal, Medical Director of the hospital, expressed gratitude for the transformative impact of the project, which aligns with national healthcare priorities.

The commissioning event was attended by various dignitaries, including H.R.H. Alhaji Rodiyallahu Alabi Yunusa Baal Bajulaiy and Oba Kazeem Bashua.
