Lagos PWDs Demand Ongoing Digital Skills Training

Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) from Lagos State have called for the government and private sector to extend digital skills development training to empower them for self-reliance and productivity. This appeal was made at the conclusion of a two-day training session organized for PWDs in Lagos, facilitated by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Participants expressed gratitude to NCC and its consultant, Fornido Development Company, for the hands-on training, emphasizing the need for regular training rather than one-off sessions. Binta Gali, the Lead Facilitator for Digital Citizenship Training at Fornido Development Company Limited, expressed satisfaction with the participants' eagerness to learn new digital skills.

Mr. Michael Idah, Programme Manager at Christian Blind Mission (CBM) Country Office Nigeria, stated that the training aligns with the vision of creating a society where every individual, regardless of disability, has equal opportunities to thrive in the digital age.
