Lagos State Engages Residents for 2027 Budget Input

The Lagos State Government has begun consultations with residents across its five divisions as part of the preparations for the 2027 budget. The consultation process commenced with a forum in the Ikeja Division, held at the Multipurpose Hall, Radio Lagos, Agidingbi, where residents and community leaders shared their priorities and evaluated the implementation of past requests.

Mr. Ope George, the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, stated that these annual consultations provide residents with a platform to influence government priorities and directly communicate their needs. He noted that the government also reports back to residents on the outcomes of previous consultations.

This year, the government presented an account of what was accomplished based on last year's requests and gathered new input for the upcoming budget.
