Obasa Seeks House of Reps Seat in APC Primaries

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, announced his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing the Agege Federal Constituency ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries. This declaration was made during a stakeholders' meeting held in Agege, Lagos, on Tuesday.

Obasa urged APC members in the area to support Ganiyu Egunjobi, a former chairman of the Agege Local Government Area, who is also seeking representation for the Agege Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Additionally, he endorsed Azeez Yusuf Ninolowo for the Agege Constituency II seat in the Lagos Assembly.

Obasa emphasized the need for APC members to support aspirants during the party primaries, noting the increasing number of candidates vying for the APC ticket for the upcoming elections in 2027. He expressed anticipation for the outcomes of the screening exercise conducted for APC aspirants seeking elective office.
