Lagos State Launches 2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign

Lagos State has initiated a cybersecurity awareness campaign in October 2025, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to promote online safety and combat cyber scams. The campaign, featuring multilingual outreach and practical guidance, aims to create a secure digital environment.

Lagos is enhancing its cybersecurity infrastructure, including appointing a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and establishing a Cybersecurity Advisory Board. The state plans to bolster public-private partnerships, offer real-time threat detection, and create job opportunities in the cybersecurity sector.
