Sanwo-Olu Urges Collaboration for Flood-Resilient Lagos Development

Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu urged for increased collaboration to enhance flood-resilient measures during the World Habitat Day 2025 celebration in Lagos. The event highlighted the theme "Urban Crisis Response: Flooding Focus," emphasizing the need for proactive planning, sustainable investments, and community engagement to address the persistent urban flooding challenges in the coastal megacity.

Sanwo-Olu stressed the importance of urban resilience in Lagos' development framework, with initiatives like the Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO) coordinating flood risk mitigation projects. He called on private investors and development partners to support sustainable and resilient initiatives, such as climate adaptation and mangrove restoration.

Notably, the Dangote Group was highlighted as a valuable partner in housing development.
