Fuad Sanni Overcomes Challenges to Earn First Class Degree

Fuad Sanni, an accounting graduate from Lagos State University (LASU), gained attention on LinkedIn after sharing his inspiring journey from being labeled the weakest student in his class to graduating with a First Class Honours degree. His story coincided with LASU's convocation in August 2026.

Fuad faced significant challenges, including stuttering in English during secondary school, which led to a repeated year and the derogatory label "Olodo." After a period of avoidance from school, his mother encouraged him to return. A turning point came when he received help from Victor Nsofor, a senior student, who patiently assisted him with his studies.

Fuad's hard work paid off as he graduated as the best student in the Commercial department during his final secondary school exams. He later scored 304 in the JAMB examination, gaining admission to LASU.

Throughout his undergraduate years, he excelled in various academic competitions and graduated with a CGPA of 4.57, earning a B.Sc. in Accounting with First Class Honours.
