Lagos Taskforce Arrests Three for Harassing Road Users

On April 2, 2026, the Lagos State Environment Special Offence Taskforce, led by Tokunbo Wahab, arrested three suspects involved in harassing road users near broken down vehicles. The arrests took place at two separate locations: Palm Grove bus stop and the Oniru area of Lagos.

The suspects were accused of forcibly attacking victims, a continuation of the taskforce's crackdown on such criminal activities. This operation follows a similar incident earlier in the week at Marwa bus stop in Lekki, where a truck driver was threatened by individuals demanding money and phones.

Wahab assured residents that the state government remains committed to eliminating harassment and intimidation on Lagos roads, emphasizing that enforcement operations will continue across identified hotspots to maintain order and security.
