Lagos Taskforce Arrests Harassers of Road Users

The Lagos State Taskforce has arrested individuals for harassing and intimidating road users in two separate incidents. The first incident occurred at Marwa Bus Stop in Lekki, where a truck driver whose vehicle had broken down was confronted and threatened by individuals demanding money and a phone.

The second incident took place at Palm Grove along Ikorodu Road, where suspects attempted to harass road users similarly. Tokunbo Wahab, the State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, disclosed these incidents on Thursday via an official post on X (formerly Twitter).

The Taskforce swiftly intervened in both cases, apprehending the suspects for prosecution in accordance with the law. Wahab assured residents that the state government remains committed to keeping roads safe and eliminating all forms of harassment and intimidation across Lagos.

Enforcement operations will continue in identified hotspots to maintain order and security.
