Lagos State to Enforce 2025 Land Use Charge Payments

The Lagos State Government has announced the enforcement of the 2025 Land Use Charge payment, following the release of the 2026 bills. Property owners are notified that enforcement actions will commence against those who fail to pay the 2025 Land Use Charge.

This announcement was made via the official release from the Lagos State Government's former Twitter account, with comments from Tajudeen Mahmud Alao, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. Alao emphasized the importance of compliance, urging property owners to fulfill their obligations as part of their civic responsibilities to support the state's development.

He encouraged property owners to utilize various payment channels, including internet banking, bank branches, USSD codes, and point-of-sale terminals. The Lagos State Government aims to make the Land Use Charge process accessible, especially for property owners living abroad, and offers a 15% discount for early payments.

The Land Use Charge remains a significant revenue source for funding public infrastructure and essential services across the state.
