Lagos Government to Enforce 2025 Land Use Charge Payments

The Lagos State Government has issued a warning regarding enforcement actions against property owners who have not settled their 2025 Land Use Charge payments. The statement, released by Adelek Quadri, Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, indicates that enforcement measures will commence soon.

The government encourages property owners to take advantage of a 15% discount for early payment within the approved timeframe. The Land Use Charge is described as a critical source of revenue that supports the construction, maintenance, and upgrading of public infrastructure such as roads, hospitals, schools, and security facilities.

Tajudeen Mahmud, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, emphasized the civic duty of property owners to contribute to the state's growth and development through timely payments. The government continues to promote sustainable development and attract investment to strengthen Lagos as a major hub for commerce and innovation.

Payment options include various channels such as internet banking, mobile payment platforms, and designated bank branches.
