Lagos Varsity Declares No Admission For Candidates Who Fail Drug Test

The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Bilkis, has announced that prospective students who fail a drug test will not be admitted to the university. The decision was made to sanitize the university community and prevent deviant behavior.

The university has partnered with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to ensure credible results. The VC emphasized the importance of fostering mental and academic coherence among students and raising the institution's standards.

Parents were also urged to instill moral values in their children to prevent them from succumbing to peer pressure and engaging in drug-related activities on campus. The VC criticized parents who patronize special centers to help their children pass exams, as this could lead to unearned certificates and an inability to cope with university standards.

The university has seen an increase in student withdrawals due to academic challenges, prompting the need for stricter measures to maintain academic integrity.
