Figo Comments on Real Madrid's Trophyless Season Woes

Luis Figo, a legendary figure at Real Madrid, expressed concerns regarding the club's potential to end the current season without securing any trophies. He remarked on the heightened pressure associated with being part of such a prestigious team, especially given Madrid's historical success.

Last season, Real Madrid won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup but failed to clinch the LaLiga title and the UEFA Champions League. This season has been particularly challenging, with Madrid eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Segunda División team Albacete in the round of 16, losing 3-2.

They also faced a defeat in the Supercopa de España final against their fierce rivals, Barcelona, and were ousted from the Champions League by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, losing 6-4 on aggregate. Currently, Real Madrid finds itself nine points behind LaLiga leaders Barcelona with only seven matches remaining.
