José Mourinho to Join Real Madrid on July 13, 2026

Real Madrid CF has confirmed that José Mourinho will officially become the new first team coach starting July 13, 2026, coinciding with the beginning of the preseason preparations for the 2026-2027 LaLiga campaign. Mourinho's appointment was agreed upon in a meeting held on June 11, 2026, between Real Madrid's board director and the club's chairman, Florentino Pérez.

The contract will extend for three seasons, concluding on June 30, 2029. As part of the agreement, Benfica will receive a compensation fee of €15 million for Mourinho's transfer to Real Madrid.
