Mbappe Confident Real Madrid Will Win Titles This Season
Kylian Mbappe, a forward for Real Madrid, has expressed his belief that the team will reclaim their status as title contenders this season. Real Madrid has not secured a significant trophy in the past two seasons, finishing behind Barcelona in LaLiga and losing to them in consecutive Supercopa Espana finals.
The team experienced a trophyless season in 2025-26, being eliminated in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey. With the return of former manager Jose Mourinho to the Santiago Bernabeu, where he previously managed from 2010 to 2013, Mbappe is optimistic about winning titles this year.
He stated, “We have to win, and I think this year we [Real Madrid] are going to win titles.” Additionally, Mbappe recently concluded a remarkable 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign in North America, becoming the tournament's all-time leading scorer with 22 goals and the first player to win multiple Golden Boot awards.
