Mourinho Praises Real Madrid Players After Betis Defeat
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho commended two of his players, centre-backs Ibrahima Konate and Dean Huijsen, following the team's 1-0 defeat to Real Betis in LaLiga on Friday night. The match took place at La Cartuja Stadium, where Troy Parrott scored the only goal.
In his post-match interview, Mourinho described the performance of Konate and Huijsen as "imperial," stating they "controlled absolutely everything" during the game. He acknowledged the team's overall dominance and the numerous offensive plays and goal-scoring opportunities they created, despite the unfavorable outcome.
Mourinho remarked, "Sometimes you lose and don’t know why or how to explain it." Following this defeat, Real Madrid is set to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
