Lamido Sues PDP to Halt Convention Over Discriminatory Nomination Process

Former Jigawa State Governor, Lamido, has taken legal action against the PDP in the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking an order to stop the party's national convention scheduled for November 15-16 in Ibadan. Lamido alleges that the nomination process for the national chairman position is discriminatory and flawed, denying him access to the required nomination forms.

He argues that the party's actions violate its constitution and international guidelines on equal opportunities. Lamido is requesting the court to compel PDP to issue him the nomination form and halt the convention until the alleged anomalies are rectified.
