Court Stops PDP National Convention Following Lawsuit by Lamido

The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an order to halt the People's Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention pending the resolution of a lawsuit filed by former Governor of Jigawa State, Lamido. The court ruled in favor of Lamido's challenge against PDP and INEC for denying him access to the nomination form for the national chairmanship position.

Lamido argued that the party's actions violated its constitution and guidelines. The court has directed both PDP and INEC to refrain from any activities related to the convention until the matter is resolved.
