Lamido and Supporters Plan Exit from APC in Sokoto

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal's political ally, Lamido, along with his supporters, is reportedly preparing to resign from the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to escalating tensions and dissatisfaction with the party's leadership in Sokoto State. Sources indicate that this planned exit is part of a coordinated political move, reflecting long-standing internal disputes within the APC structure in the state.

The situation has intensified following the conduct of parallel congresses by rival factions, which has deepened divisions within the party. Kabiru Shehu, a former chairman of the APC in Goronyo Local Government Area, is among those aligned with Lamido's faction.
