Lamine Yamal Named LaLiga Player of the Season 2025-26

Lamine Yamal, an 18-year-old forward for FC Barcelona, has been named the LaLiga Player of the Season for the 2025-26 campaign. The announcement was made by the club on Friday, recognizing Yamal's exceptional contributions during the season, where he scored 16 league goals and provided 11 assists.

His performances were pivotal in helping Barcelona secure the Spanish top-flight title, showcasing his dribbling skills and ability to influence matches. Yamal emerged as one of the most influential players in the competition, contributing to Barcelona's domestic supremacy in Spain.

He finished the season as a joint winner of the Zarra Trophy alongside teammate Ferran Torres, marking a significant achievement in his career. Additionally, coach Hansi Flick received the Coach of the Season award, while goalkeeper Joan Garcia was honored with the Save of the Season prize.

Yamal's recognition makes him the second consecutive Barcelona player to win the LaLiga Player of the Season award, following Raphinha's win the previous year.
