Abia and Enugu Communities Resolve 16-Year Legal Battle Over Land Dispute

A breakthrough occurred in the 16-year legal battle over a land dispute between Achara in Umunneochi LGA, Abia State, and Ugwueme community in Agwu LGA, Enugu State. The two communities reached a landmark agreement to end the prolonged court case and settle the boundary conflict.

The resolution was formalized after a peace and reconciliation meeting attended by key political stakeholders from both regions. The communities agreed to withdraw the case from court and exchange relevant documents to facilitate the peace process.

The unbiased mediation by Umunneochi LGA Chairman Sunday Afurobi was credited as a crucial factor in achieving this significant milestone.
