Nigerian Law School Confirms Student's Death in Lagos

The Nigerian Law School confirmed the death of 23-year-old student Faith Alayande, who fell from the rooftop of its Lagos Campus hostel while participating in an externship program. The incident occurred at approximately 4:00 am on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Alayande was a student at the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, temporarily staying at the Lagos Campus hostel. The institution's statement, signed by Aderonke O.

Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, indicated that preliminary information suggests she succumbed to injuries from the fall. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the hostel matron reported the incident after Alayande was found unresponsive.

The police evacuated her body to a morgue and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. The Law School expressed condolences to Alayande's family and colleagues and requested privacy for the grieving family during this difficult time.
