Lawan and NILDS DG to Launch Book on Nigerian Legislature

Ahmad Lawan, the President of the 9th Senate, and Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), are set to unveil a 530-page book titled "Nigerian Legislature: Understanding Its Impact on Democratic Governance and National Development." The book, authored by Ezrel Tabiowo, will be launched today at the National Assembly Library. Lawan will serve as the chief host for the event, while Ita Solomon Enang, a former Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, will review the book.

The review will include a forensic analysis of the legislature's performance across its core constitutional functions, which include lawmaking, appropriation, and oversight. The book aims to advance detailed recommendations for strengthening the legislative institution in Nigeria.
