Oyekunle's Aide Denies PDP Billboard Removal Claims

Akinwale Bodija, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, the federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has denied allegations that Oyekunle ordered the removal of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign billboards in the constituency. Bodija described these allegations as false and politically motivated, suggesting that those making the claims were attempting to gain public sympathy rather than address real issues affecting the electorate.

He stated that Oyekunle did not have the authority to remove political billboards, which are regulated by government agencies. Bodija pointed out that billboards from other opposition parties remained visible, questioning the basis of the allegations.

He urged political actors to engage with the electorate on substantive issues rather than creating controversies. Oyekunle, who is also the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the constituency, is focused on effective representation, infrastructure development, and empowerment initiatives.
