U.S. Lawmaker Proposes Bill Against Sharia Law for Immigrants

A U.S. Congressman, identified as Moor, has introduced a bill titled the "Crusade Act," which mandates that immigrants entering the United States as religious workers must formally disavow Sharia law and pledge allegiance to the U.S.

Constitution. Moor's proposal aims to prevent the promotion of religious doctrines that conflict with American constitutional values, asserting that Sharia law is incompatible with the principles of the U.S.

Constitution. Meanwhile, in Nigeria, former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso of the Nigerian People's Party (NNPP) is facing potential sanctions under the proposed Religious Freedom Accountability Act of 2026.

This act seeks to impose sanctions against individuals accused of violating religious freedoms, including a visa ban and asset freeze against Kwankwaso and the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) for their alleged roles in persecuting Christians.
