Uzodik Demands INEC Chairman's Resignation Over ADC Crisis

Chief Joe Martin Uzodik, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has demanded the resignation of Prof. Joash Amupitan, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

This call comes in response to INEC's withdrawal of recognition from Sen. David Mark's leadership of the ADC, which Uzodik described as a disgraceful misinterpretation of a court order.

Uzodik, an elder statesman, expressed disappointment in INEC's actions, stating that they have created a leadership void within the party and have embarrassed the legal system. He emphasized that INEC's failure to uphold the court's order undermines the integrity of Nigeria's electoral process.

Uzodik also criticized Amupitan's inability to interpret the legal implications of the court order and called for a return to the status quo antebellum. He argued that INEC's actions serve the interests of a few rather than strengthening Nigeria's democracy.
