Dangote Refinery Layoff: Over 3000 Workers Terminated Amid Union Dispute

Dangote Refinery management announced the layoff of over 3000 workers following a leaked memo terminating their employment. The decision was reportedly influenced by the workers' alleged involvement in joining unions that threatened to shut down the refinery.

Femi Adekunle, the Chief General Manager of Human Asset Management, clarified that the layoff was a result of reported sabotage in different units, posing safety concerns. The affected workers were instructed to surrender company property and obtain exit clearance.
