PENGASSAN Reacts to Dangote Refinery Dismissing Nigerian Workers

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has reacted to the decision of the Dangote Refinery to dismiss all Nigerian workers. The refinery cited internal reasons for the mass layoff, including alleged sabotage.

Employees were instructed to return company property and receive their entitlements promptly. The President of the Nigeria Trade Union Congress assured affected staff that the company would address the situation and make immediate payments.

The move has raised concerns about job security and labor practices within the refinery.
