Lazio Rejects Bournemouth's Loan Offer for Nigerian Midfielder Dele-Bashiru

Lazio has turned down a loan offer from Bournemouth for Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. The 24-year-old, who previously played for Manchester City, is wanted by several Premier League clubs including Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, and Bournemouth.

Despite interest from Turkish side Trabzonspor, no deal materialized during the late winter transfer window. Lazio's rejection of Bournemouth's loan offer comes as they seek to retain Dele-Bashiru as cover for their first team due to injuries.

The club is reported to have rejected the offer as they aim to keep depth in their midfield following Matias Vecino's move to Celta Vigo. Dele-Bashiru, who played just 40 minutes for Lazio across competitions, is now considering a potential Premier League move in the summer after his AFCON 2025 campaign in Morocco.
