ACF Confirms Leadership Transition and Exit of Officials

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has confirmed the exit of several senior officials, including Senator Orti from Benue State, who served as a member of the Board of Trustees, and Ambassador Ibrahim Mai Sule from Yobe State, who was the Vice Chairman of the Board. This transition follows the expiration of their six-year tenures, which began on March 10, 2020, and will conclude on March 10, 2026.

The leadership selection committee, chaired by Brigadier General Haliru Akilu (Rtd), submitted recommendations regarding the board's composition and tenure. The committee noted that the positions of Deputy Chairman of the Board, held by Senator Ibrahim Ida Wazirin Katsina, and Secretary General, held by Mallam Murtala Aliyu, have also become vacant.

The committee plans to fill these positions but has postponed the selection process pending a review of the ACF constitution. Mallam Bukar Zarma has been appointed as the acting Secretary General to oversee the forum's administration temporarily.
