ADC Urges Police to Combat Bandits, Not Harass Leaders

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) expressed concerns over the alleged use of law enforcement agencies to intimidate opposition leaders, urging them to focus on combating banditry instead. The party condemned the police summons issued to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir, and the attack on former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami's convoy in Kebbi State.

ADC accused the Nigeria Police Force of being a tool for political suppression rather than ensuring national security. The party emphasized the need for law enforcement to prioritize tackling criminal activities, especially the rampant banditry in the northern regions, instead of targeting opposition figures.
