On committee reports, senators were set to consider the 2026–2028 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper — a document that shapes how the federal government plans to spend and manage public funds over three years. The Senate also considered the confirmation of Dr. Chukwuemeka J. Chukwu as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Abia State, three new non-career ambassadors from Ogun, Jigawa, and Oyo states, and two commissioners for the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Two bills passed by the House of Representatives — the Federal Audit Service Bill and the Institute of Economists of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill — were listed for Senate concurrence.
