Nigerian Senate Order Paper July 23 2026: Bills, Reports & Key Votes
On Thursday, July 23, 2026, the Nigerian Senate was scheduled to consider committee reports on a road rehabilitation project in Benue State and the confirmation of a nominee to lead the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). Lawmakers also planned to vote on three bills passed by the House of Representatives, covering FCT courts, inland waterways, and tobacco control.

These were: a bill to amend the law governing the number of judges in the FCT High Court; a bill to repeal and re-enact the National Inland Waterways Authority Act; and a bill to amend the Tobacco Control Act of 2015.
Two committee sessions were also scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on the same day — a public hearing by the ICT and Cyber Security Committee, and a meeting of the Drugs and Narcotics Committee — both at the Senate New Building in Abuja.
