Lesotho is negotiating with the South African Association for an alternative venue, with the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium emerging as a potential option. The Secretary General of Lesotho's Football Association, Mokhosi Mohapi, highlighted the importance of finding a venue that meets FIFA standards.

Nigeria currently trails South Africa in Group C of the CAF qualification standings. The match is scheduled for October 6.
