Professor Oloyede's Legacy at JAMB: A Decade of Reform

Professor Ishaq Oloyede has completed a ten-year tenure as the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), during which he implemented substantial reforms that transformed the agency's operations and reputation. Under his leadership, JAMB introduced a central admissions process, significantly reducing irregularities and enhancing transparency in the admissions process for tertiary institutions.

Oloyede's tenure saw JAMB's financial reserves grow from N50 million to N20 billion, a remarkable achievement in contrast to the typical budgetary practices of government agencies. He emphasized prudent financial management and operational efficiency, restoring public confidence in the institution.
