Bishop Kukah Urges Nigerians to Unite and End Bloodshed Amid Religious Divisions

Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto raised concerns about the ongoing bloodshed in Nigeria, calling for unity to end the violence fueled by religious differences. Speaking at a book review event in Yola, Adamawa State, he highlighted the increasing religious divide in Nigeria and criticized the role of Western media in exacerbating tensions.

Kukah urged political and religious leaders to build strong institutions capable of promoting peace and national development. The event was attended by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, former INEC Chairman Attahiru Jega, and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, who emphasized the importance of competent leadership and prioritizing the welfare of Nigerians.

Governor Fintiri's infrastructure development efforts were commended, with calls for him to consider joining the APC for greater development impact. The book launch also saw the presence of other political figures like Governors Bala Mohammed and Abdullahi Sule, as well as Mustapha Salihu, the Deputy National Vice Chairman of the APC in the North East.
