LG Commissions Solar Borehole for Clean Water Access

LG Electronics Nigeria has officially commissioned a solar-powered borehole in Omuafor Community, Aboh Mbaise, Owerri, Imo State, marking a significant step towards improving access to clean water in Southeastern Nigeria. The project, unveiled during a ceremony attended by community leaders and the royal father, aims to provide reliable and safe water access independent of the grid.

Mr. Paul Mba, Head of Corporate Marketing at LG Electronics Nigeria, emphasized the importance of clean water for healthy living and community development.

The initiative is designed to ensure an uninterrupted water supply while reducing environmental impact. The project is expected to positively affect women and children, who are often most affected by limited access to clean water.

Royal High Dr. Ez Justin Nwaneri welcomed the development, highlighting its cultural and social significance.

This borehole project is part of LG's broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, which focuses on creating shared value and addressing societal challenges through innovative solutions.
