Liberia Strengthens Trade Ties with Nigeria at Forum

Liberia reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing trade and investment relations with Nigeria during a trade and investment forum held in Lagos on July 15, 2026. The forum was attended by a high-level Liberian delegation led by Magdalen Dagoseh, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and included senior officials from the National Investment Commission (NIC).

Jerri Nyenpan, the Minister Counsellor for Press and Public Affairs, stated that the forum aimed to expand trade opportunities, attract investments, and deepen bilateral economic cooperation between the two West African countries. The event underscored Liberia's determination to position itself as a preferred destination for trade and investment in the tourism industry within West Africa.

The forum is expected to bring together government officials, investors, business leaders, financial institutions, manufacturers, exporters, and entrepreneurs to showcase Liberia's investment potential. The Liberian government is implementing reforms to improve the business environment and boost investor confidence, with a focus on sectors such as agriculture, mining, manufacturing, tourism, infrastructure, and digital innovation.
