Liberia and Nigeria Strengthen Ties for AU Agenda 2063

Liberia and Nigeria are working to enhance their bilateral relationship to support the African Union's Agenda 2063, a strategic master plan launched in 2015 aimed at transforming Africa into a global powerhouse. At a trade and investment forum, Sara Besolow Nyanti, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, highlighted the importance of combining efforts to create sustainable pathways for the continent's future.

She emphasized that the relationship between the two countries should go beyond mere agreements and should focus on practical collaboration to yield shared prosperity. Dapo Akinosun, Honorary Consul of Liberia in Lagos, reiterated the need for deeper bilateral ties.

Dr. Jumok Oduwol, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment of Nigeria, and Madam Magdalen E. Dagoseh, the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Liberia, underscored the significance of regional economic integration and private sector collaboration.

The forum served as a strategic platform for dialogue and investment opportunities across various sectors, including agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and technology.
