Tanzania and Nigeria Strengthen Trade Relations Ahead of 2026 Exhibition

The Tanzanian High Commission in Abuja is intensifying efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and deepen trade relations between Tanzania and Nigeria. This initiative aims to boost bilateral trade and encourage private sector collaboration, opening new investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and services.

The mission emphasizes the importance of trade partnerships in advancing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) goals, promoting intra-African trade and economic integration. The Tanzanian High Commission highlighted the upcoming trade exhibition scheduled for June 9-11, 2026, in Lagos, which will showcase a diverse range of Tanzanian food and beverage products, including premium tea, coffee, fine wine, cashew nuts, and various value-added food products.

The exhibition will serve as a strategic platform for trade promotion and investment engagement, featuring Tanzanian private sector companies and facilitating business-to-business meetings to explore partnerships with Nigerian buyers and investors.
