Lawyer Defends Nnamdi Kanu Against Terrorism Charges Amidst Controversy

Human rights lawyer Maxwell Opara has expressed support for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), stating that the Igbo community knows Kanu is not a criminal or terrorist. This comes after Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja convicted Kanu on seven counts of terrorism.

Opara, in an interview on Arise TV, emphasized that Kanu has been unjustly portrayed as a terrorist, suffering from extreme injustice. The lawyer's comments highlight the ongoing legal battle surrounding Kanu's alleged involvement in terrorist activities.
