Lions Club Commits to Humanitarian Service in Abuja

The Lions Club, under District 404 A2 Nigeria, launched its 2026 district convention in Abuja with the theme "Service Without Boundaries." The event, which will run until Sunday, gathered members from 11 regions. District Governor Lion Pastor Ezekiel Umoh highlighted the club's ongoing humanitarian interventions, including a recent donation of N1.5 million to support children requiring urgent treatment at the University Teaching Hospital in Enugu.

Convention chairperson Lion Ngozi Adigw explained the significance of the annual event, urging members to break barriers in service delivery. Second Vice District Governor Lion Charlz Opusunju outlined the expected social impact of the convention, which includes a visit to the University Teaching Hospital and the donation of N1.5 million to a pediatric oncology center for children suffering from cancer.

Additionally, the Lions Club plans to assist displaced residents of the Kuchibena community following recent demolitions by the FCT authorities.
