Aba Literary Week 2026: Promoting Education and Culture

The All Saints '92 Set is set to host the inaugural Aba Literary Week, aimed at enhancing education and promoting a reading culture among secondary school students in Aba. Scheduled for February 24, 25, and 27, 2026, the event will take place at Priqueen International School, Ogbor Hill, Aba.

Eight public and private secondary schools are participating in this initiative, which includes activities such as quiz competitions and literary reviews. Notably, a central novel titled "Beaten" written by Obinna Olew, a member of the alumni association, will be presented.

The program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on quality education. Key stakeholders endorsing the initiative include the Abia State Commissioner for Education, the Abia State House of Assembly Committee on Education, the Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, and the mayors of Aba North LGA and Obingwa LGA.

Chief Engr. Martin Ikechukwu Uzoegwu described the initiative as a strategic investment in young minds, while Engr.

Samuel Ogbuagu, chairman of the organizing committee, emphasized the collaborative efforts among alumni, schools, and the private sector to benefit students through cash prizes and literary exposure.
