Oyo APC Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plot to Target Lawmaker Shittu

The Oyo State House Assembly, set to resume legislative activities, faces allegations from the APC of a plot by Governor Seyi Makinde's loyalists to victimize Hon Ibrahim Shittu, a lawmaker. The APC accused the ruling party of planning to harass Shittu for opposing a purported fraudulent loan and rejecting the assembly leadership.

The party's publicity secretary, Olawale Sadare, revealed a scheme to target Shittu, including mobilizing thugs to attack him and setting up a biased panel for suspension. The APC sees this as an attempt to silence opposition voices in the state, attributing the actions to elements around the governor.
