NCDMB Strengthens Workforce Development in Nigeria

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reiterated its commitment to building a globally competitive workforce in Nigeria's industrial, oil, and gas sectors. This commitment was expressed by the Executive Secretary, Engr Felix Omatsola Ogbe, during the graduation ceremony for the second cohort of trainees from the Centre for Marine and Offshore Technology Development (CMOTD) at Rivers State University.

Represented by Ilu Ozekhome, the assistant manager of Property and Investment at NCDMB, Ogbe highlighted the importance of the six-month intensive training that equipped trainees with practical skills applicable to real-life projects. He congratulated the graduates, emphasizing that their achievement is a significant step towards enhancing the technical skills necessary for Nigeria's industrial and maritime sectors.

Ogbe praised CMOTD's management and partners for their dedication to practical training and encouraged graduates to continue learning and responsibly apply their acquired skills. Engr Vitalis Ahiakwo, CEO of CMOTD, described the center as a hub for innovation aimed at bridging academia and industry.
