AGF Takes Over Ozekhome's Corruption Case Involving London Property Deal

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) has assumed control of the case involving Nigerian lawyer Ozekhome, who has been accused of corruption in a London property transaction. The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) filed charges against Ozekhome for allegedly receiving a property through corrupt means and using forged documents.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Rotimi Oyedepo, announced that AGF Lateef Fagbemi would handle the prosecution. The case involves allegations that Ozekhome received a house in London, claiming it was purchased from former FCT Minister Jeremiah Useni.

The ICPC accused Ozekhome of engaging in corrupt practices, making false documents, and dishonestly using a falsified passport to support his ownership claim. The matter has been adjourned to February 24 for further hearing.
