Lookman Scores as Real Madrid Defeats Atletico 3-2

In the recent Madrid derby, 29-year-old Nigerian player Lookman scored the opening goal for Atletico Madrid in the 33rd minute, making him the first Nigerian to score in a Madrid derby. Real Madrid, however, mounted a comeback in the second half.

Vinicius Jr. equalized with a penalty in the 52nd minute after being fouled in the box, followed by Federico Valverde's low strike that put Real ahead 2-1. Atletico responded with Nahuel Molina's 25-yard strike, leveling the match at 2-2.

Vinicius Jr. then completed his brace with a curled shot from outside the penalty area, restoring Real's lead at 3-2 in the 72nd minute. Valverde received a red card in the 77th minute, but Real held on to secure the victory, ending Atletico's six-match unbeaten run in the derby.

This win allowed Real Madrid to cut Barcelona's lead in the league table to four points, while Atletico remains in fourth place.
