Shane Lowry Loses Lead, Nico Echavarria Wins PGA Tour

Shane Lowry faced a disappointing end to his tournament at the PGA Tour event in Palm Beach Gardens, where he lost a three-shot lead after hitting water off the tee on the 16th and 17th holes. This misstep resulted in a double bogey on both holes, allowing Colombia's Nico Echavarria to secure victory with a final score of five birdies and a 66.

Lowry finished two shots behind Echavarria and shared second place with American players Taylor Moor and Austin Smotherman, who also scored 15 overall. The 38-year-old Lowry admitted to feeling the sting of failure, particularly as he had hoped to win for his four-year-old daughter, expressing a strong desire to see her celebrate his victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Lowry had made four birdies and an eagle on the 10th hole, appearing to be on track for a win before the final three holes unraveled his chances.
