Dangote Cement Schedules London Capital Markets Day

Dangote Cement Plc has announced a Capital Markets Day scheduled for September 21, 2026, in London, as part of its preparations for a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange. This information was disclosed in a regulatory filing to the Nigerian Exchange Limited, signed by Company Secretary Edward Imoedemhe.

The event follows a corporate update issued on May 12, 2026, after shareholders approved the dual-listing. The briefing aims to provide international investors, market analysts, and stakeholders with insights into the company's operational performance and strategic roadmap.

The decision to list in London, rather than other financial centers like Dubai, is attributed to London's deeper liquidity pools and compatible reporting frameworks. Shareholders ratified the move during the annual general meeting in July 2026, allowing the board to sell up to a 10% equity stake to global institutional investors.

Dangote Cement operates across 10 African nations and aims to increase its production capacity from over 55 million metric tonnes per annum to between 80 and 100 million metric tonnes by 2030.
